I wanted to tell you both that I just finished Riddle of the Sphinx last night and I must say it was one of the very best games I have ever played. I have loved “adventure games” since ZORK on the Commodore 64. One reason I think I enjoyed it more than others is that I know that two fellow Christians produced the game. It was nice to see you both thanked Jesus Christ on the “thanks” page. Also “Acts” played a roll in the game and the player must read some of the Bible to finish the problem. You just don’t see that in today’s gaming industry. I really liked the thoughtful puzzles throughout game, I can’t say enough nice things about Riddle of the Sphinx! Thanks and GOD Bless,

I had to write and tell someone and everyone what a awesome game ROTS is! I just finished playing it and have to say that’s it’s right up there in the number one spot as best game out there! The graphics were great, the sound was intense, I even jumped in my seat at times, puzzles (if you don’t mind calling them that) we’re very MYST like! I am at the edge of my seat hoping that there really will be a 2nd game. So many games can’t seem to get all four of the essentials together…graphics, storyline, music, and interface…ROTS has them all. Does anyone know for sure if there is going to be a sequel to Riddle of the Sphinx? I sure hope so! This has been the best computer game I’ve ever played, and, believe me, I’ve played a lot of them. If there is going to be a sequel, any idea when it will be ready?

I just finished this fantastic game. Thanks to one and all that posted a lot of great clues without giving it away. I just about wore out my printer making copies of the clues you all gave. What a great challenge. Absolutely the best, and longest, mystery game I have EVER played. I hope the rumours about a sequel are true. The best advice I can give is to SAVE-SAVE-SAVE and don’t give up! Good Luck to all you players.

I finished the game last weekend – thanks to everybody for your help, and of course I need not repeat how much I liked the game! I’d put it on the same level like Myst, Riven and Timelapse. My favourite picture is the one of the golden pyramid I must admit 🙂 … I’m looking forward to a potential sequel!

I just finished the game – it’s the best one I’ve seen in a long time and I’m so sorry it’s over. I had a great time and want to thank Loki and the others who have asked and responded to questions. The hints were great -just enough info to get me going when stumped and not enough info to ruin the puzzles.

I am so disappointed! I “accidentally” finished the game! But, I wasn’t READY to finish it. I never found the tablet that would have given me the Stonehenge scroll, and never figured out how to get into the astrology room. But the ending of the game was terrific. How NICE to have a game end with something that leaves you “fulfilled” instead of just, “Oh. Is that all there is?” I have to admit though, I was quite disappointed to have ended the game before I finished solving the puzzles. I would have preferred it if the game had had something at the very end that made it impossible to get there until the remaining puzzles had been solved. But I have to admit, this game was absolutely WONDERFUL and exactly the kind of game I’ve been lusting to find for several years now. THANK YOU to the creators of it!
For anyone who is still on the journey, enjoy it! Don’t rush through it.Take your time and solve the puzzles yourself. Don’t ask for help unless you are REALLY stuck. It’s so satisfying to figure out the solutions for yourself! Enjoy! (And now… I’m off to go back to my last saved version and complete those missing puzzles.)
