Difficulty level is just right…

By Riddle of the Sphinx Testimonials, Testimonials No Comments

I would just like to say that Rots is an excellent game. The difficulty level is just right though I admit to looking in to Rots talk for the occasional hint. This game is right up there with Myst and Timelapse etc. which is the best accolade I can give. I hope sales have been good and you and your wife get the rewards for all your very hard work. Thanks again.

grand, blockbuster adventure game…

By Riddle of the Sphinx Testimonials, Testimonials No Comments

I have been playing adventure games for years now and have recently noticed a definite decline in the quality of adventure games. Your “Riddle of the Sphinx” brought back the grand, blockbuster adventure game. It was really a pleasure to be transported to ancient Egypt and roam through the temples and ruins figuring out clues without too much danger of dying. The graphics were superb, the difficulty of the clues was just right, the interface with just the mouse was great and 99% of the game played without a hitch. (I was allowed to move the yacht without solving the puzzle.) I am truly looking forward to a sequel in Bermuda, Atlantis, etc. PLEASE keep the adventure games coming, Dreamcatcher. There are plenty of us out here who do not like the intensity of combat in a game. I will buy every game you put on the market with the above criteria.

One of the best of the Explore/Puzzle genre I have ever played…

By Riddle of the Sphinx Testimonials, Testimonials No Comments

I have just finished playing ROTS after receiving it for Christmas. It is one of the best of the Explore/Puzzle genre I have ever played (and I have been playing since 1980). The following is my in-depth review. Rating – 9.3 (to compare, Myst gets a rating of 9.7, Beyond Atlantis gets a 5) Meaning: 9 is excellent, 10 is magical. Overall, the playability was excellent with puzzles which were logical and solvable and graphics and sound which enhanced appropriately. A good measure of playability is how often you feel the need of a Walk-through (in this case, only a couple). Sincerely,

Worth waiting for…

By Riddle of the Sphinx Testimonials, Testimonials No Comments

Hey, kudos to the Toblers – great job on ROTS – worth waiting for. I’ve been a graphic adventure gamer for years, but this is the first one I’m playing completely with my 5 year old son and he’s absolutely loving it! Every evening he asks to play and during the scary parts he curls up in my lap – great fun! Not enough quality adventures for Mac these days … thanks for the hard work!

Yours went above and beyond…

By Riddle of the Sphinx Testimonials, Testimonials No Comments

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed your game. There are 4 criteria that make up a good game, in my opinion: 1)Graphics 2)plot 3)length 4)ending I find that it is hard to find adventure games that do well in all of these areas, yours went above and beyond. Thanks for making such an enjoyable game. The ending led us to hope that you may have plans for sequel, is this correct?

I loved it so much…

By Riddle of the Sphinx Testimonials, Testimonials No Comments

I have no idea where this Email will end up, but I figured what the heck. Anyway, I just finished playing ROTS. MAN I LOVED IT!!! It was everything I have been looking for in a game (there have been many) since I finished Myst and Riven. I guess I am writing because I loved it so much I want Jeff & Karen Tobler (and friends) to know they have got a new fan in me, so what if I am only a bored housewife and mother. Whether or not this message gets to them, I had to try. Oh, and I wanted to say that I hope there will be a sequel. But either way thanks webmaster@omnicreative for listening (reading)!
